Bertrand Peyrot (1981, France). During the course of his artistic career Bertrand Peyrot has mastered the process of oxidation on metal plates. The technique allows him to minimize interventions and trust in the natural changes that water makes on metal, leaving the result more up to time and chance. The corrosive process brings a myriad of layers, outlines, drawings, and detail - elements that create a painting. The artist has translated the metal paintings into various forms such as sculptural gestures and suspended abstractions with a three-dimensional view, often combined with the use of pigments to create a painterly composition.

La técnica le permite minimizar las intervenciones y confiar en los cambios naturales que el agua provoca sobre el metal, dejando el resultado en manos del tiempo y el azar. El proceso de corrosión da lugar a un sinfín de capas, contornos, dibujos y detalles, elementos que crean una pintura.
